Originally From Denver, Colorado. I lived in the high country of the Colorado Rockies, before moving to Las Vegas in 1996. I moved here seeking work, and did well for a time, though the last three years have been ruinous. After two years of unemployment, I am finally back to work, though unfortunately at a 'Big Box' store and at a severely reduced pay rate. I still feel stuck here in this desert, both mentally and financially.

I developed my early art skill in jr.high school and sr.high school, winning a few county and state art awards for drawing and pottery. After graduating, my family and I opened a glass shop with picture framing as a side in Parker, Colorado. The frame shop outgrew the glass shop, so we opened a gallery catering to artists and prints. Being exposed to a great many art forms lead me to watercolor, and have been doing it for about 20 years, up until I lost my Fiancé Renee and our unborn son to a drunk and uninsured driver.

Since then, I have taken up the brush again and plan to regain my drawing skill and enter the digital realm. I have also found a mate, and we have been married for a little over a year now. Here is to the future!

A note to those who favor my work: I tend not to respond, unless you have a comment or question, to which I will happily answer to the best of my ability. Anything you would like to see more of, or know about me, I will do my best to provide.

The same applies to my watchers. I hope to keep you interested and entertained in my journeys through my imagination and skills!

It's true, and by all accounts, I am very lucky.

I best start from the beginning.......

At my 'Big Box Store' Job, I earned a job promotion and pay upgrade, some three months ago. Everything was pretty much hunky dory and quite happy with the new work I was doing. In fact, I was making headway towards being the the savior of my new department.
I understood that I would be needed to help out my old department from time to time, and had no problem with that, provided I was able to keep up with work that needed done in my new position.
Well as things happen, we were in a hiring freeze till further notice. So, wouldn't you know.......some deadbeat from my old department, took it a bit too far and was given WAY too many chances. Got his ass fired finally for coming to work stinking drunk, one too many times.
So , you may have guessed.......Management comes to me to pull their fat out of the fire. I told them, I am willing, but won't be able to do it for long (after all, I am an old grey muzzle, and my resources are no longer inexhaustible)

Anyway, fast foreword to two weeks ago......
Finally starting to move out of the hiring freeze, I can start training a new helper. But the manager is still pressuring to perform at my best, and as always, my work ethic drives me to dig deeper........And now of course I've hurt myself, (again)
Day two:
I told the manager I'm hurt, and will need all the support I can get to finish the nights work (in the end, it didn't really count for much, and still worked too hard and went home sick a day early). In hind sight, I should have been checked into the hospital right then! As I may have perforated my appendix at this point.
I took two days off and two days of sick leave and finally felt up to working again. The current manager gave me a break and let me do my new tasks in produce, he other manager was on vacation. I worked through the rest of the week, with the pain steadily increasing and looking foreword to my two days off. Mind you, at this point, I was assuming I had just badly pulled my abdominal muscles.

I got home, changed clothes, had a little to eat and had my traditional coffee. Three hours later, I was screaming in the worst pain I have EVER felt a dawning to what I really must have done to myself. I got to emergency, and it was confirmed, I had ruptured my appendix (In a big way!)

So, 8 days latter, and I'm feeling better. Even typing this from the hospital bed. I should be able to go home in a couple days, but I have a good deal of recovery to go yet and a lot of antibiotics to take, before I am out of the woods.

With luck, I will be able to paint a bit soon
